Day 1

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

1) Identity Theft . I feel like this has to be my first pick. I wrote this story for the 2014 Which Willow Fic Challenge. The challenge was to write a body-swapping fic where Faith switches bodies with Willow instead of Buffy during Season 4. It definitely has an angst/dark feeling to it, which was good, because I didn't want it to end up sounding cheesy. I had fun exploring the ins and outs of this concept and I appreciated having a beta who was willing to work with me to make this the best story it could be.

2) Passion (Rules Us All). This was a fic that I wrote for a femslash_minis challenge. What I love about that community is that ~every two weeks, the community votes on the theme for that round. Sign-ups are posted and each person suggests a pairing, three things they want, and up to two things they don't want. The mod assigns a prompt to each person who signed up so you really never know what you'll get to write until it shows up in your inbox. What I loved about this story was that it gave me an opportunity to write a what if scenario for two very fun female vampires. I also still love the last line in the story. It's my favorite and still cracks me up when I re-read the fic.

3) Who We Are (the becoming you and me and remix) . This was the first year that I ever participated in the I Will Remember You Buffy/Angel challenge. I'm glad I did. Writing this story brought me back to my roots, aka how I started with this show. Buffy/Angel was the first pairing that I fell in love with and it was nice to rekindle that love thru writing. I'm definitely participating again next year.

Finally, I'm going to shift from fanfiction works to talk about a fanart that I made.

4) Mr. Gunn Will See You now. . This was made in response to another community challenge. At the time, bad_swa was featuring Gunn as the character of the month. He could be paired with Willow, Spike, Angel, or a combination. I was inspired by the teaser poster for the 50 Shades of Grey movie and came up with a Willow/Gunn manip that I'm really proud of. Before that day, I had never considered these two as a pairing, but the manip is yummy enough that I'd be willing to imagine it. :P
