Book I Just Finished
You're Never Weird On The Internet(Almost) by Felicia Day.
From my Goodreads Review: Felicia Day is quirky, nerdy, adorable, and awesome. She is the type of person that you want to be friends with and that's what makes it so easy to settle in with her memoir. I enjoyed learning about her life story, or at least what she chose to share of it. I enjoyed that her humor translated well through the written word. I enjoyed the ways that I found myself connecting with her and the ways where we differed.
The hardest chapter to read was definitely the one about #Gamergate. It saddens me that one person's anger transformed into entire gaming community into a place where it was hard to recognize who your friends were.
Book I am Currently Reading
Hook and Jill by Andrea Jones. I met this author at Teslacon (steampunk convention) last year and she signed the book after I purchased it. I was intrigued by the idea of a Peter Pan story being geared more towards adult. I do love the way that Andrea describes the imagery, but I admit that I am finding the reading to be slower than I'd like. I was also a bit frustrated that it took nearly 100 pages after the prologue for Hook and Wendy to have a moment together. I'm about 1/2 done with it. I will let you know my feelings after that.
Book I Plan to Read Next
I'm thinking it will likely be Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews.
