Crazy Wacky Fun Times

Thanks to the Circling the Wagons friend meme, my friends list has quadrupled and there's been lots and lots of posts to read. If I've missed any, I need to apologize. I've really tried to keep up with it all.

In other news-

~I'm loving this beautiful weather. It's 62 degrees and sunny. I started my day with a 90-minute Zumba party to the benefit the kids in German class who are traveling to Germany for the exchange program. There was great energy, great moves, and four fun instructors. My friend, Lyndsey, and I celebrated with two trips to the salad bar at Pizza Hut and we split an order of their seriously yummy breadsticks.

~ I'm excited that Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and iZombie are being renewed by the CW. I would definitely say they are my favorite shows on tv right now.

~I've been in play rehearsals twice a week and that's fun. I didn't initially audition for the show, but when someone dropped out, the director asked me to step in. I'm playing Sandrine in the show "Almost, Maine." I've got about five pages of dialogue (lots of back and forth with my co-star.) I'm playing a party girl of sorts who's celebrating her bachelorette party and runs into her ex-boyfriend, Jimmy. It's awkward and funny and a bit sad.

~A book I put on hold three months ago ("Modern Romance" by Aziz Ansari) finally came in. I'm excited to start reading that.

I guess I don't have much else to say. I'm taking advantage of the weather today and also getting some much-needed laundry taken care of.

Zumba is awesome! I haven't done it for awhile, but when I did I enjoyed it quite a bit! I am glad that you did it for a good cause though :-D

Its beautiful here in MN as well. Its like 68 degrees or something. Its wonderful!

I usually attend Zumba 4x per week. 2 classes are Zumba+Toning. 2 are regular Zumba.

Oh way cool! I have never heard of Zumba+Toning, just the regular. How does Toning get involved with Zumba? Or is it something completely different?

You use toning sticks - either 1 1/2 or 2 1/2 lbs. The instructor includes them in the choreo for at least 5-6 songs. It's about resistance, shortened range of motion, and good form. Plus, they shake and make noise and that's fun.

Oh way cool! I love Wisconsin. My family has a cabin in the western part of the state, and I used to go UWRF for year :-) And I am a Packer fan as well :-D

You may want to check out zumba.com. They have a search option for classes by zip code and type of class.

I've done a few community performances. Mostly, I'm behind the scenes. I serve as vice-president of our community theater group.

The weather is shifting for the worse. We're heading back down into the 40s with possible rain/snow this coming week. Yay. :/

Yay, I had not heard about the iZombie renewal! That's great! This season has been SO MUCH BETTER than last season, IMO.

"Modern Romance" is SO GOOD. One of my favorite books of 2015. Aziz gets it, I wish more guys got it. He's not perfect but at least he is trying.

The weather! I didn't actually check the temperature, but I went out for my afternoon excursion without a jacket. It was so nice out!

Zumba sounds like fun. Even the name sounds fun. *g* I should see if there's anything near me.

Zumba is a lot of fun! It's also a lot of dancing. Each instructor is a little different so it's important to find someone you'll like.

I'd also recommend a Zumba Gold class if you're just trying it out. Those are a bit lower intensity.

Ah, that's good to know. I checked out the website for a place near me, and I thought just by the name that Zumba Gold would be an advanced class. *g* I think I'll ask my sisters if either is interested in going to a class with me to check it out.

The play sounds interesting! I've always been terrified of public speaking and never could muster up the courage to audition for a play.

My mom got me started in public speaking at a young age - theater, 4-H, Forensics, etc. I am grateful for the training, but that doesn't make me any less nervous. It's hard to remember all those lines sometimes.
