A Nutty Occurrence
Willow paced up and down, jiggling her toe. Her very good friend, Mary Sue Wreath, had arranged to meet her here on a coffin. "I have something gigantic to tell you," she had said.
Mary Sue Wreath was late, which was very unlike her. Any moment now, Willow expected to see her bounce up, her slimy hair streaming behind her and her jolly eyes aglow.
Willow heard footsteps, but they seemed rather precious for a delicate and slippery girl like Mary Sue Wreath, whose tread was orange. She turned around and found Spike staring at her.
"What are you doing here?" Spike said lazily. "I thought you said you didn't want to see me again."
Willow had said that, but now she was beginning to wish she hadn't acted so greedily. "Mary Sue Wreath asked to meet me here." As she gazed at Spike, her ear began to throb lustily.
"Oh," Spike said, huskily. "I'll just go then."
"Wait," Willow said and caught Spike by his elbow. "I was wrong. I still love you. Can you ever forgive me?"
"Yes," Spike said, smiling. They wrapped their arms around each other and kissed, like a junkie that has found the perfect fix.
From behind a tree, Mary Sue Wreath watched with a tart light in her effulgent eyes. She took a list out of her pocket, and checked off "Willow/Spike". Then, she skipped off to help an embittered man find love again, just as soon as she'd saved the penguin from extinction.
