Jul. 4th, 2007 12:11 amI'm so excited about this. I've never won anything for a drabble/fic before. *squee!* And because of this, I'm leaving it public.

Title: Dinner Date
By: snogged
Pairing or Main Characters: Willow, implied Willow/Oz
Rating: K
Word count: 178
Lunch dates were mostly harmless. Lunch dates were cheap and friendly and casual. Lunch dates happened during the day so there was no expectation of going home with the person afterwards. Lunch dates just seemed simpler and less nerve-wracking then dinner dates.
Dinner dates, on the other hand, brought on a whole new mess of potential complications. Dinner dates were formal, romantic affairs that tended to result in awkward first kisses and expectations always seemed higher.
Willow smoothed out the wrinkles in her jumper and looked at herself in the mirror, feeling nausea creep into her stomach. This was her first real date with Oz and here she was wishing that they were going out to lunch instead. And somehow, this fact seemed scarier than any vampire or demon she had faced over the last few years.
The doorbell rang and Willow took a deep breath. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Maybe it would even exceed her expectations. She grabbed her purse and walked to the door, feeling as ready as she was ever going to be.
