The shadows of darkness and angst have officially descended over the Buffy/Angel 'verse and the authors who took us there have been given the recognition they deserve through fan vote and judge's vote.

The complete list of winners is posted HERE

Not surprisingly, I know a number of the talented folks that won and have the honor of having them on my friends list. They are: [livejournal.com profile] spikesredqueen, [livejournal.com profile] lilbreck, [livejournal.com profile] velvetwhip. [livejournal.com profile] snowpuppies, [livejournal.com profile] ash_carpenter, [livejournal.com profile] purplefeen, [livejournal.com profile] hello_spikey, [livejournal.com profile] dragonydreams

I was even startled to find that I had picked up a few myself.

Out of all of your favorite books, pick just one you'd recommend everyone read. As a bonus: why did you pick that one?

Without a doubt, this is a hard as hell question.

But the book that is standing out right now is "The Seventh Princess" by Nick Sullivan

My 4th grade teacher had it on her book rack and I read it at least fifty times before the end of that year. Years later, when I went to college, I made a point to track the book down so I could add it to my library.

I've always loved fantasy and I've always loved stories where the heroine kicks ass.

This story gave me both. Once you pick it up, you just can't put it down. And that's the mark of a truly awesome book (even if it's only 107 pages and I can read it in less than 30 minutes now).

I can't wait to share this book with my own children.
