World's Oldest Profession

Last night, I was positive my choice for today would be Penelope, played by the always fabulous Amy Acker. She was a great addition to the Rain Dance episode at the end of Season 1 and I loved her curt attitude towards Barney (not that I blame her. He did sleep with her mom.)

When I woke up this morning though, I realized that there was another character (also from Season 1) who captured my heart even more than dear Penelope. So that my friends is why I choose:

Mary the Paralegal


I wish with all my heart that she hadn't been an elaborate piece in Barney's plot to convince Ted to sleep with a hooker because she was sweet, funny, charming, and insulted Sandy Rivers with Star Wars humor.

With that out of the way, I'm not entirely sure what to talk about this morning. I watched the latest episode of HIMYM last night ("Subway Wars") and I enjoyed it. It reminded me of the Top Gear episode when the boys went on a crazy mad-dash race through London. HIMYM also seemed to impact my dreams last night as I had some pretty crazy/hot ones about Barney and Lily. I wish I could remember enough of what happened to construct a fic out of it, but alas, my subconscious won't cooperate.

Nick's car has been out of commission the last few days so he's had the joy of getting up at 6 am with me instead of 7 so he can get a ride into work. I don't mind doing it though. It's nice to see him for a little while before I have to drive 24 miles out to Power Packer.

Speaking of Power Packer, I probably should get back to work.
