Nick: So what are your plans for tomorrow?
Me: Gonna pick up the house a little.
Nick: Good luck! It's kinda heavy.

In other news, I feel its time to reveal something positive that's come out of my continuing job drama. A few weeks ago I put my tail between my legs and contacted Wendy at the Wisconsin Early Autism Project.

I had interviewed with them back in December and although I liked the concept of the work, they couldn't offer me supervised hours towards my license and their corporate office was 60 minutes from my house. At the time, I was also waiting to hear back from the Pauquette Center (whom, as you know, could pretty much offer me everything I wanted. Hence why I've sucked it up and kept my foot in their door these last four months, despite all the waiting, the paperwork, then budget bill, etc.)

But back to the present, I contacted Wendy and she told me that they had a line therapist position available at a home about 20 minutes away from me. Basically, I'll be working with a senior therapist to provide in-home therapy to an autistic child.

It's not much in terms of hours. Right now, it's 5 1/2 hours per week (two hours on Tuesdays, three-and-a-half hours on Saturdays). The pay is $10.61/hour, plus $3.00/hour for travel time. But the important thing is that it's related to my field, it will give me experience, it will keep me semi-sane while the wait continues, and it will be something I can continue to do once the wait for the Pauquette Center is over.

Not only that but I received my paperwork in the mail yesterday.

This is the real deal, lovelies. :)
