Jul. 5th, 2011 02:03 pm7 – Have you ever had a fic change your opinion of a character?
Not exactly.
I mean, I've read fics starring my least favorite character (Kennedy) and my least favorite pairing (Spike/Buffy), but just because those authors made me enjoy living in that world for a brief moment, I still found myself unable to enjoy their portrayals on the show itself.
8 – Do you write OCs? And if so, what do you do to make certain they're not Mary Sues, and if not, explain your thoughts on OCs.
As a general rule, my OC's exist as minor characters that happen to be in a place where the story needs to go and there's not currently an established character that would better fill that void (i.e. a shopkeeper, a bartender, a dancer). I think I can avoid turning them into Mary Sues because my OC's are there to serve a purpose. They aren't there to take over the story I'm writing.
9 – Pairings – For each of the fandoms from day two, what are your three favorite pairings to write?
BtVS: Willow/Spike, Willow/Angelus, Spike/Angelus
How I Met Your Mother: Barney/Lily, Marshall/Lily, and Barney/Marshall.
Harry Potter: Lucius/Hermione
Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog: Hammer/Horrible
