Let It Not Be Our Hearts That Fall To Sea
Aug. 1st, 2011 10:07 pmSince I had the day off, I had a fairly low-key day that was filled with lots and lots of television and movie watching. I'm quite certain this recap will make me sound like I have no life.
I caught up on Leverage. I still need to watch last night's episode, but I figure I'm not doing to bad there. Parker, Hardison and Eliot remain my favorites this season and I think the Van Gogh episode is my favorite so far this season.
I watched the So You Think You Can Dance results show from last Thursday (2 of 8 eliminated). I was incredibly impressed by the League of Extraordinary Dancers and I wasn't too bothered by the cuts. Both dancers who were eliminated had annoyed me early on in the season, but they each had a dance or two that redeemed them a little in my eye. Still, neither one holds a candle to Sasha, Melanie and Marko. I can't wait to see those three crack their way into the finale. :)
I watched the first disc of Boy Meets World's Season 5 and found myself squeeing because **Shawn and Angela. *dies of cuteness***. I was also amused by the random appearance by Melissa Joan Hart, playing her character from Sabrina The Teenage Witch, and Salem (the cat) who was from the same show. Oh ABC Fridays in the '90's, I've missed you.
I also watched the first two episodes of The Nine Lives of Chloe King. I'm happy to reassure
dragonydreams and
angelskuuipo that I'm hooked. I look forward to watching more of it tomorrow night.
Finally, I watched the film, Cedar Rapids. I was mostly in it for the Midwest references, but it wasn't bad. I do have one tiny complaint though: **Omar Little (from the Wire) never swears on the show. Don't get me wrong, I appreciated the imitation done by Isaiah Whitlock, Jr. (who happens to be on the Wire as a different character), but it's all about the details people!**
