Spike couldn't contain himself. He was bursting at the seams from excitement. He could touch! He could feel! He could feel the taste of thick, otter blood coursing down his throat. He could give Angel a right wallop in the jaw for being such a ponce. He considered grabbing Harmony for a quick rough and tumble in an abandoned office but realized there was someone else who needed to know first.

He hurried off to the lab and grinned at the sight of Fred hunched over the table, staring at some scientific-looking do-hicky.

"Fred! It's a bloody miracle. I'm corporeal again."

Fred looked up and promptly received a crushing kiss filled with Spike's glee.

"What? How?"

"There was this box. And a bright flashy show. And poof! Corporeal me."

Fred grinned. "That's wonderful, Spike. Is the box still out there? I'd like to examine it. Maybe see what the secret is."

"So cutie, still got the hots for me?" Spike interrupted, flashing her a charming smirk and testing his luck. He was corporeal now and he had given up that chance to rough and tumble with Harm.

Fred blushed. It wasn't like she hadn't thought about him for endless hours. Well she had, but it been researched so it didn't count.

"I'll take that as a yes, then." He cupped her chin in his hands and kissed her softly. "Mmm, been wanting to do that ever since I laid eyes on you."

"You wanna grab lunch or something?" Fred asked.

"I'd like that, pet." Spike threaded his arm through hers and led her off to the cafeteria, feeling on top of the world. Second to corporealism, this was the best thing that had happened all day.
