They had buried her.
Buried her under six feet of dirt and encased her in a hard, wooden box.
What the hell were they thinking? This was not how she wanted to make her grand entrance. She didn’t want to come out caked with dirt and mud. She wanted to emerge from the earth like the fiery, hell goddess she was. Of course, there were ways to do that.
She muttered a few choice words and the ground shifted and swirled around her, pulling her upwards.
The ground was meant to be beneath her, meant to fear her.
“Mama’s home.”
