Fic Title Meme Responses
Jan. 15th, 2008 10:31 amA few days ago I posted the fic title meme that had the following rule:
"If you make up titles (and pairings!) for stories I didn't write, I will respond with details of those non-written stories. Just think of the possibilities! (I might even include snippets)"
I didn't get many requests but I did appreciate the response I got. This was fun to do and I have an urge to try and write some of these.
Note: the snippets below have not been beta'd.
Beautiful Angel (Willow Rosenberg/Seeley Booth) BtVS/Bones Crossover *Set Post-Chosen*
Willow is sent to Washington DC to investigate a new Potential Slayer. What she doesn’t realize is that the girl she’s looking for is also being investigated by Special Agent Seeley Booth as a murder suspect in a high profile case. Their paths cross and Willow learns that even the hardest of FBI agents can have a heart of gold.
Snippet: “She’s innocent.” Willow insisted, chasing after the brusque FBI agent that still reminded her of Angel.
“You don’t know that. We’ve got her fingerprints on the weapon and a suspect who’s fled. The evidence is not exactly leaning on this girl’s favor.”
Willow had to admit that he made a compelling argument but the girl had been called by the scythe’s power. Even though the years of fighting demons had hardened her a bit, she had still had to believe that there was goodness in people. That there was goodness in Slayers. Why else would they get chosen to fight?
“What if I could prove it to you? Prove that she didn’t do it?” Willow asked.
“I still don’t get why a pretty little girl like you would want to get messed up in this stuff.”
Willow sighed, “I just do, okay?”
When Nothing Makes Sense (Willow/Angel) *Takes place after BtVS Season 5 and AtS Season 2*
Willow chooses to stay in LA for a few days after breaking the news to Angel Investigations that that Slayer is dead. It isn’t long before Angel and Willow find themselves in each other’s arms, seeking comfort from their grief.
Snippet: “It just doesn’t seem real, you know? With her being gone and all.”
Angel wrapped his arms around her and nestled his chin in her auburn hair. “I know.”
Willow squeezed her eyes shut and a few stray tears fell out. “Can you cry…I mean, if you wanted too? I didn’t know if vampires could cry or not.”
Angel almost smiled. Willow’s curiosity had always been something he loved about her. “Yeah, we can.”
“Okay, good. Well, not good in the sense that you can cry but good in the sense that well, you know what I mean.”
Left Behind (Xander/Dawn/Spike)
When their friends start vanishing mysteriously, the final three Scooby Gang members have to find a way to stop it before it’s too late.
Snippet: This was creepy. Book of Revelations creepy.
Dawn had never placed much stock in religion. Sure, mom had made her go to Sunday School classes for a few years but she never gained anything from it. There were always too many questions that went unanswered. And living on the Hellmouth didn’t help her keep the faith either.
But people were disappearing. Correction: her friends and family were vanishing into thin air and it was started to look like there was nothing she could do about it.
