Title: Not Today
Author: snogged
Disclaimer: Joss Whedon owns them all. I own nothing.
Pairing: Spike/Buffy, Spike/Willow, Spike/Angel
Rating: R/FRM
Setting: Buffy Season 6 and Angel Season 5
Warnings: language, violence, general mind-fuckery, implied possibility of non-consensual sex, character death (sort of), m/m kissing, fluff/romance
Word Count: 1027
A/N: I need to say that I have a complete inability to write a smutty or romantic story about Spuffy. I hope this story won't offend the Spuffy fans because I don't mean it too even though it's not exactly Buffy friendly.
I want to dedicate this story to
rockstarpeach,
spikesredqueen,
rua1412,
velvetwhip,
ginnyrules2,
angelus2hot, and
kallie_kat. I couldn't have gotten through this without your support.

My Nekid Numbers Prompt: Buffy, skull, maze
"Come on, loser. Hit me with your best shot."
Stalks of corn towered over them as they moved through the famous Sunnydale corn maze. Each punch, each kick, each grunt sounded worse than the last.
Spike smirked as his fist sliced through the air, connecting with the Slayer's jaw. "Bet you'd look pretty with your skull bashed in. You're blood would probably spruce this place up a little."
"You don't have the guts," Buffy snarled, snaking her hand around Spike's head and locking his neck in a half-nelson. She lifted her foot and rammed her knee into his abdomen.
"Ummph," Spike hissed, doubling over as Buffy scampered off down another row.
"Aww, is the little kitty giving up her chase of the big, bad mouse? You really are a loser."
Spike growled and his face shifted from human to demon. His fangs pricked the sensitive, pink flesh of his bottom lip and he broke out into a run, bringing Buffy to the ground.
Buffy gasped for air as Spike's weight pressed down on her lungs. "Asshole."
"You know you love it, pet. World got more fun when I found out the bloody chip didn't work on a bitch like you."
Buffy shifted her weight and thrust her hips forward, knocking Spike off of her. Spike propped himself on his elbow and wiped the palm of his hand across his chin. He licked off the smudge of blood that had shown up somewhere between her punching him in the nose and her kicking him in the jaw.
Buffy rolled her eyes in disgust, "You're sick, Spike."
Annoyance flickered in Spike's eyes. He would bet a thousand kittens that Buffy had never acted this way around Angel. The hoity toity, holier-than-thou act was really a load of bullshit. "Vampire, pet. Look it up."
Buffy pulled out her stake and her eyes gleamed with their usual threat. "Slayer."
Spike's hand zipped through the air and knocked the stake out her hands. It clattered to the ground and Buffy's mouth dropped in surprise.
"Not today, pet."
He rocked onto his feet and kicked the stake into the walls of the maze. His leather duster swirled around his feet and he knew in that moment that he looked particularly badass.
"You can't kill me, Spike. You obsessively love me, remember?"
Spike chuckled and his tongue darted passed his lips. Buffy noticeably cringed and Spike wondered if she saw the twinkle of Angelus behind his piercing, blue eyes.
"Historically speaking, loving someone to the point of obsession has been a great motive for murder. That's why they call it stalking." He looked around the maze, and chuckled again, amused by his sense of humor.
Buffy leapt to her feet and put up her fists. She was the Slayer. She had been trained to use anything and everything as a weapon and there was no way Spike was going to win this round.
Spike closed the gap between them and grabbed her wrists, pinning them against her shoulders and pushing her against the scratchy leaves of corn.
Buffy knocked her head against Spike's in an effort to push him away but Spike didn't budge.
"You know what I'm going to do after I'm done with you, pet? I'm going to tell all your little friends. And I'm gonna start with the pretty, red head. I bet I can get her to come to bed with me. Can probably count on two hands the number of times she's wanted to take you down. Bet I can make her scream with passion when I tell you how you're blood splattered."
Buffy frowned and tears burned in her eyes. "Willow's my best friend. She would never do that."
"I can make her do anything I want, pet. Make her believe anything I want. She won't even remember your friendship when I'm done with her. Angelus taught me how to do that."
"Angel would rather see your ashes wafting in the wind."
Spike pressed his lips to hers in a rough kiss. "You really don't know Angel, pet."
"I know him better than you do!" Buffy pouted. The longer she distracted him, the more time she had to find a way out of this.
Spike snorted, "You can't even make love to him without unleashing his demon."
His head bent towards her and he dragged his fangs over her neck. They slid in quickly like a knife into hot butter and Buffy struggled, trying to push herself away from him.
"No," Buffy whispered, feeling her essence draining.
Spike growled softly as the coppery taste hit the back of his throat. It had been so long since he had tasted human blood and even longer since he'd drunk from a Slayer. It was intoxicating and arousing. Maybe he would keep his promise to the Slayer and go fuck the little red head. Nothing was quite as satisfying as a good romp after a good kill.
Buffy went limp in his arms and he let her drop to the ground. He sniffed the air and felt a change on the wind. He was going to have a lot more respect around Sunnydale.
****
Spike's eyes flickered open and he immediately pressed his head against the shoulder of the sleeping form beside him.
"Angel," Spike whispered. "You up?"
Angel grunted and rolled over, draping his arm across Spike's stomach. "Bad dream?"
"You could say that."
"Dreaming about Buffy again?"
"How'd you know?"
Angel shrugged and kissed his childe softly, running his hand through Spike's hair. "She destroyed you, Spike. She broke my boy. I noticed it haunting your eyes the second you showed up at Wolfram and Hart. And as your sire, it's my job to fix you."
Spike let himself get pulled into Angel's tight embrace and he felt an overwhelming calm surge through him. Even though Buffy had gone out of her way to destroy him, he still couldn't deny that at one point, he had loved her. It was possible that he still did but Angel knew exactly how to overwhelm those emotions.
And at the moment, that was better than bathing in the blood of the Slayer.
