She had sworn to herself that the second she entered the Hyperion Hotel in LA, she would not look Angelus in the eyes. She knew that he would know that she had played for the Major Leagues of Evil and he would use that against her somehow. He would do everything in his power to screw up her focus and make it impossible to put that soul of his back where it was supposed to be.

But her resolve broke when curiosity got the better of her. Wesley had said something about Angelus being on the drug Orpheus and she had remembered reading something about the drug's intense effects back in her Sunnydale High School days. It seemed silly to pass up the opportunity to see what the drug did and she would rather see Angelus suffering from it then Faith.

She had to admit that he looked almost peaceful with the chain wrapped around his neck, like a ruggedly handsome, sleeping dog. He didn't look like a killer at all even though she knew that was exactly what he was.

"Come to violate me, witch? Ream my ass with that magic act of yours? I'll spread myself wide open if you promise to make it hurt."

Willow swallowed the lump in her throat. He was supposed to be unconscious so why was he talking? Perhaps this was insanity finally calling after she had fought vampires and demons for seven years. But it didn’t feel like this was in her head. It felt much more real than that.

"Silence isn't your strong suit, Red. Babbling silly incoherencies is more your style. It's a wonder anyone ever got you to shut up."

"You're…" Willow took a step closer to the red line. Angelus wasn't moving and his eyes were still closed. Her logical brain took the reins and decided that his ability to talk must be an effect of the drug. That was the only other explanation she could glom onto besides the possibility that she was an insane, crazy girl and she was really getting stabbed with needles in some mental ward like Buffy had imagined once.

"Supposed to be knocked out?" Angelus chuckled. "Turns out my mouth moves just fine so why don't you come in here and I'll show you just how good it works on that slick cunt of yours. I can do things your little girlfriends could never dream of. You'll be on your knees for the boy's team again in no time."

"I'm happy out here, thanks. In fact, I think I'll just mosey on upstairs and get that soul back inside you so I can be done with this whole crazy excursion."

"My idea's better. I know you're just dying for a taste, babe. And you know I've always wanted to be filled with your black, naughty evil. I hear you made quite the bad girl. Frightened the little Slayer mouse and felt blood on your hands from causing someone's death. Did his burning corpse make you wet? I bet you would have screwed your girlfriend silly if she wasn't dead."

"Shut up!" Willow yelled, feeling the magic pulsating in her fingertips. She could do a spell to bind his mouth or remove his voice box. But that would be bad. Angel needed a voice box and she was here to make sure that Angelus kept his body in one piece so that the soul could enter in easier.

"Ooh, I struck a nerve," Angelus hissed.

"You struck nothing," Willow retorted.

"Oh baby, don't lie to me or I won't fuck you headfirst into the wall when these drugs wear off."

Willow rolled her eyes in disgust. "I'm going upstairs now, Angel. That's who you're gonna be when I'm done here. Don't forget that he will always be better than you."

Angelus chuckled. "His hero's face means nothing, babe. I'm always there. Right under the surface. And the devil hides behind your eyes, too. The dark side can't be escaped from with a spell. Can't be pushed into the closet with the cobwebs and spiders. It's always a part of you and you'll come to accept that soon enough."

Willow parted her lips, considering a retort but nothing came out. She hated to admit that he sort of had a point. "We're done here, Angel."

Angelus heard her disappear and he felt a sense of smug satisfaction. He loved having an effect on people. Made life interesting. "I'll be watching you, babe. The twinkle in your hero's eye. And someday, I'll make your devils scream as loud as I do."

No sunshine. Sorry, I mislead you. I meant I was the one creating that prompt when the webmistress on NHA_fic asked about some ideas for prompts... I am not writing fics ^_^
