The moment he stepped into that school, he caught a brief glimpse of something else he wanted. He caught a glimpse of red hair fleeing in terror. That woman’s fear led him to the janitor’s closest. His foot ready to kick through the door, he wanted to take the innocence on the other side and destroy it. He wanted to feed greedily off of virginal blood. It had been so long since he’d tasted it.
But the sounds above him and the bloody minion interrupting his thoughts made him realize that her blood would have to wait. There’d be plenty of time to feast once the Slayer was dead.
