A/N: written fortibialisant who wanted Connor/Dawn and “a night of winter stars.” I have never written this pairing before so I hope I did it some amount of justice.
The silk blindfold shielded her eyes from the surroundings that she was certain were flying past at her Star Wars-like speeds.
“Connor, was it really necessary to kidnap and blindfold me? I mean, I like you enough to go willingly.”
Connor chuckled, and shiver shot down Dawn’s spine. “I know you would, sweetling. But it wouldn’t be a surprise if I did that.”
A small grin played at the corner of the brunette’s lips. She loved surprises. And she especially loved Connor’s surprises.
The car pulled to a screeching halt and Connor’s fingers manipulated the knot on the blindfold.
Dawn’s jaw dropped as the sight of the twinkling stars came into her vision. She had never seen anything so amazing before in her life. It was like he had hand-selected millions of rare diamonds and threw them into the sky for her. “Connor, it’s beautiful. I’ve never seen anything like this.”
Connor shifted his weight and wrapped his arm around her shoulder. He was more than happy to sit under the stars with her ‘til the sun broke through the sky. And some day, he would show her the stars in every corner of this dimension. It was the least he could do after everything the world had put them through.
