kallie_kat who wanted the prompt “Moonlight Becomes Her” with Willow/Spike as the pairing. And no vamp!Willow.
The partly-opened slants on the Venetian windows allowed the moonlight to stream through, dotting Willow’s sleeping form with its soft light and Spike found it mesmerizing.
He still can’t believe she let him into her room, but he knows it partly has to do with the street gang of Hath’or demons that had chased him to the second floor of the Summer’s home and her bedroom window. The room still smelled of Joyce and Tara even though both have been gone for months.
She had asked to stay and keep her company and he had obliged. They had talked late into the night about magic and pain and hate and hurt. She had clung to his words because he guessed they were different than anything she had heard from her friends. And he had clung to her support as well, finding strange comfort in the fact that Willow’s knack for compassion still hadn’t faded.
His eyes trace the patterns created by the light and it isn’t hard to spot the tip of a crescent moon tattoo peeking out from the waistband of her pajama pants. The demon in him can’t resist the look and his fingers lightly push the fabric down, revealing the whole design but being careful not to wake her.
He always knew there was something more to the chit that met the eye. And he couldn’t wait to see if the moon would unlock more secrets tomorrow night.
