Lily and Robin crawled onto the bed, soft tendrils of brunette and red hair brushing across Barney’s pale skin. Barney’s body jerked and Lily giggled, running her hand over the smooth expanse of toned, muscular flesh. The armor that protected his rapidly beating heart.

God, I am possibly INCREDIBLY sick here, but what I took away from this is that Barney was in the hospital after the bus accident and that the beeping noise is his monitor.
