catvampcrazines who wanted Xander/Andrew and candy canes.
Xander inhaled sharply as he entered the Summer’s kitchen. It smelled like brownies. Magical, chocolate brownies topped with Andrew’s decadently rich chocolate sauce…and peppermint.
“Andrew…” There were dozens of pans spread across the counter and each brownie had a red and white striped candy cane chunk shoved into the middle of it. “What’s with all the candy canes?”
“I got three dozen boxes for Christmas, Xander. Three dozen! It’s now 12 days passed Christmas and I don’t know what else to do with them.” Andrew threw his oven-mitt covered hands into the air, surrendering to his fear of wasting precious sweets.
Xander leaned forward and grabbed Andrew’s wrist. “Calm down, babe. I promise there are no candy cane demons that’ll come eat your entrails if you don’t use them all up before Valentine’s Day.”
Andrew’s bottom lip noticeably quivered and Xander’s eyes softened. “Tell you what…how ‘bout we let these puppies cool and I can show you just how well I’d protect you if such a demon existed.”
Andrew nodded, and slipped the oven mitts off his hands. He knew what Xander really meant was ‘lets-go-make-out-so-you-forget-that-I-picked-on you’ but he wasn’t going to say that out loud. He liked letting Xander believe that he just an adorably, naïve nerd that didn’t read between the lines. “That sounds really nice.”
