When their lips touch, Ted feels her come alive in his embrace, like she’s a burning wire set to a round of dynamite and could explode at any second. He’s never had a woman want him this bad before.

It makes him swallow down the words that he knows might make her run again.

When her breasts fall against his palm, he feels a shiver go through him. Never before had he felt anything so warm, so delicious. They are like ripe plums plucked right from the vine, juicy and perfect.

This time he thinks the words, whispering them into the sex-fogged cavern of his brain and wishing he could send them right into her ears.

When he drops to his knees, he finds the precious gift buried between her thighs. A sweet pearl creeping out of its shell to meet his diligent licks and flicks.

He writes the words with his tongue and it makes her squirm. She’s so wet for him and it’s the most intoxicating thing in the world.

When he guides himself inside her, a golden smile breaks across his face. Her eyes widen when his pace increases and a shuddering gasp leaves her mouth. He presses his lips to the hollow of her cheek.

And that’s when he whispers the words out loud and to his pleasant surprise, she doesn’t flee.
