It's been forever since I've posted icons so I'm taking the opportunity. Some of these are a bit backdated but I know I haven't posted them here yet so they're new for you!

Granted, I haven't been able to do as many lately but I'm trying to get back into it. I miss it and I know I need to keep working at it to find that technique that just works for me. But in the mean time, the learning has been fun :)

I just wish my Photoshop would stop acting strangely. Yesterday, I tried doing 14 pt Times on a 100 x 100 icon and it looked as tiny as 1 pt font. I had to do like 350 pt font just to make it show up....sigh...I'm sure I'll get the problem figured out eventually.

And Photoshop loves to mess with people.
Is your DPI set at 72? That normally fixes the problem. If not, you can always reset your settings.

love the icons babe. I have found PS goes wonky with the text when I've used a screencap instead of a photo, the pixels per inch are different on the base you've used that's all, just do what you did and go bigger.

Simple problem, simple solution.

When you do the cropping for the photo, it kind of confuses Photoshop on the letter to pixel ratio, so I always have a second file set up with the pre-set 72 pixel ratio... then I just copy and paste the photo into that file and problem solved. Plus you can tweak the color on the photo before inserting it into the photoshop file. Everybody wins.
