I caved and commented on more WORDS entries so here are my responses. And although you may see some repeats, I did offer some more insight :)

Limericks:
Limericks I’ve found as a rule
Are best when you write something cool
So if I give this a spin
And bring you a grin
Than I won’t have to dance like a fool

Babies: On June 29th, 2009 I became an auntie and Miss Lauren is really the most beautiful human being I’ve ever laid eyes on. I’ve seriously never felt this way, never felt this surge of love for any other baby. I’m not that big of a fan of babies, actually. I don’t really know what it is. But Lauren is different and I can’t wait to share all the best things in the world with her.

Commitment: I am a true believer in commitment and I think my current relationship is proof of how deeply committed I am to the most amazing man I’ve ever met. Five and a half years is a huge accomplishment for us and I know we’ll be together much longer than that. But I would like to point out that I don’t believe someone has to get married to someone else in order to prove how committed they are. You don’t need a ring or a piece of paper to prove that.

Costumes: I love to dress up. Whether it’s for Ren Fairies or Halloween or even just because I can. Halloween is by far my favorite holiday of the year and I’m truly excited as this year, Nick and I are gonna do a couple’s type thing. I’m gonna be a 1920’s flapper and he’s gonna be my hot gangster boyfriend :)

Magic: I believe there’s magic all around us. I believe it tingles in the air. That is crackles like electricity and lightning and flutters like the wings of birds and butterflies. To me, nature is magic more than anything and it’s where I find my strength and my beauty to keep believing in this crazy, mixed up world of ours.

Smut: This word seems to be frequently associated with me *g* Wonder why that is? Okay…not really. What I am going to do for Rua’s benefit here is drop some new knowledge about my smut addiction that I haven’t shared in the other sets. My first smut story was a Buffy/Angel that I found…oh God, I don’t even remember. But I loved it. It was romantic and beautiful and at the time I was such a Buffy/Angel shipper. I just loved how tortured they were together. Anyways…after that I stumbled across the Erotic Adventures of Willow and Spike by Laure Alexander and it turned my world upside down. The writing was gripping, engaging, and I found myself drinking down as much as I could in one setting. That’s when I got hooked on smut and I’ve never wanted to find my way back.

School: I’ve been in school for the last 18 years. I started kindergarten at age 6 and am now pursuing my Master’s degree in a Community Counseling program. In addition to Community Counseling, I’ve also chosen an emphasis in Marriage and Family. I’m not going to beat around the bush here. I love school. I thrive in an academic setting, especially since I entered college and really felt like I found a niche. I was a A/B student in high school and went on to achieve Summa Cum Laude (a 3.8 on a 4.0) scale (aka an A student) when I graduated with my Bachelor’s. I don’t really try to come off sounding like I’m bragging though. It still comes as a surprise to me every time I score well on a test because it’s something that I really work for. And it’s always a pleasure to share that kind of excitement with people that constantly show me care and support.

Faires: At this point, I’ve only been to three Faires. The first being the Bristol Ren Faire in Wisconsin, which I visit frequently every summer. I love getting dressed up and I love getting to see all the friends I’ve made there. It’s like one great big family reunion only there’s a lot less drama (…usually). The second being the Minnesota Ren Faire, which was awesome even though my friends and I spent most of the time in this beautiful glen off the parking lot getting tipsy and telling stories. It was a great time! The other Faire I’ve gone to was this tiny one in small town, Wisconsin called Cotswold. Seriously, it was so tiny, I could stand in my friend Curbin’s tent and view the entire Faire from that one spot.

Sex: As I’ve always viewed smut in the fandom sense, I’m going to tackle from a real life perspective. I can safely say I’m a sexually confident woman, which Nick appreciates naturally. I’m not really all that crazy. At this point, I can say that every time we’ve done the main event it’s always been either in the bedroom or the kitchen counter. That’s not to say we haven’t done a few other things in more public locales but we much prefer the privacy and sanctity that comes with four walls. Sex is really a time for us to feel truly and deeply connected and I can’t recall a single time where I’ve felt disappointed or un-sated in any way.

Sensitivity: Being sensitive to the needs of others is definitely something I try to do. However, it is something that I struggle with at times because I’m also very emotionally attuned to the world around me and little triggers can just set me off into a flood of tears.

icons: I love making icons. I wish I had more time to make icons. They are a lot of fun and there’s so many different ways to create them. I really thrive on working within the tiny little pixel space just to see what I can create.

drabbles: I think it’s great fun to write drabbles, whether I’m doing it on my own or as part of one of the many drabble calls I seem to do. I like being able to focus my attention on that small word count and create something that can be memorable for the people reading it. I don’t always stick to the One True Drabble Form of 100 words but I do try to when I can.

squee: Squee is one of my favorite phrases and I use it when something particularly excites me and has me bouncy in my computer chair. I also use squee in Real Life and it’s certainly something that amuses my friends and my boyfriend.

PWP: Ah, Plot? What Plot? or Porn Without Plot… This is probably my most common genre of smut writing. I mean, it’s great to set things up and make the transitions smooth but I’m not gonna lie when I say I’m always antsy to get to the juicy stuff and this genre just makes that so easy to do.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: BtVS was my first fandom and it continues to live on as my greatest fandom love. The first time I saw an episode was in Season 2 when I caught “What’s My Line Part 1” after my best friend had told me to start watching it. I was instantly hooked. The characters were witty, funny, and real. I found a lot of myself in Willow and bounced on the edge of my seat when Oz was introduced. I’m not saying the whole show is perfect because it’s not. In fact, Season 7 is my least favorite season ever. But Joss Whedon claimed my heart with this show and for that, I am truly grateful. Plus, I’ve met some absolutely amazing folks here at LJ because of this shared love and I’m so thrilled to call them friends :)

I’m gonna be a 1920’s flapper

I love the 20's! The movies, the clothes, the cars, the style... (You should have seen the costumes I got to wear in "Sunset")

hee! The '20's are definitely a great time period.

I love saying things like "it's the bee's knees"

And oh! I bet the costumes you got to wear were absolutely stunning!

They sure were!

I would have loved to go to a speakeasy.

They were...oh my stars! I had this one headdress studded with jewels...

Ooh...that would be awesome :)

And hey, I was thinking about you while watching this really great documentary today. It's called "Sex at 24 Frames Per Second: The Ultimate Journey of Sex In Cinema." Naturally, it paid tribute to Cary Grant, and Doris Day, and Rock Nelson, and Mae West and countless, fabulous others.

I swear every time I see anything film noir, you're one of the first people to pop into my head :)

*grins*

Hard not to :)

(PS...I've decided I need a good Mae West icon. Know any good places for those?)

Season 7? Seven was worse then four or six? Really? IDK, I'd go with four. And six just because they gave me Spuffy and I HATED it. There's a lot of Squick in how they screwed up my pairing. *sighs*

Season 7 had the Potentials. And they sucked ass. I also didn't like how they tried to make Spuffy work (always an ew) or the introduction of Kennedy. She just grinds on my nerves way to much.

But S4 is right up there on the list.

Spuffy was gross. So very gross. Glad to know you agree there.

Season six Spuffy was gross. The beginning of season seven was gross. and then it fizzled. So much potential. Wasted. Maybe it was never meant to be, but I want it.

I didn't think the potentials were that bad. Plus Caleb was creepy, which I liked.

Nathan Fillion was a great addition to that season.

probably one of the few things I really liked.

Buffy/Angel? It was my first ship too until I met Velvetwhip online and Buffy was immediately replaced by Willow.

When I started watching, I had no clue that unconventional shipping was even a possibility.

And haza for Velvetwhip :)
