R.I.P

Yesterday and today, my flist has been awash with tributes and memorials to Patrick Swazye. And while it's sad that he passed away, my brain has not been in awesome celebrity tribute mode because someone far closer passed away last night. My friend Kit's mom lost her three-month battle to cancer and all I can think is what sort of raw hell he's going through.

So I guess what I need to say is two great people passed away already this week and I hope their souls are resting in peace.

*hugs* It always hurts when it's closer to home. To be honest I get kinda annoyed when thousands of people weep and wail over the death of a celeb, there are far more heartbreaking deaths of normal people that never had the health care the celebs did. Makes me sad. And I apologise if my point of view offends anyone, but perhaps they should try nursing a loved one while they die a slow painful death from cancer, without the help of private nurses and doctors.
