I think for me, I always saw ff writing as a hobby, something that was a test of my skills. I didn't know you could write anything m/m until a published author read Kept and we got to talking and she said I should write original, but I didn't take that path for three years. I think that you have to respect what your journey is and original writing is really tough. So you have to know you want to do that.
