Wizards of Waverly Place

About a year and a half ago, I signed up for a gym membership with Anytime Fitness. The place I went to had convenient little TV screens on each of the cardio machines so it gave me excuse to go watch cable TV (because I don't have it) and get fit at the same time. Flipping through the channels, I stumbled upon this show and found myself hooked on the cheese factor and the cast. I call this a guilty pleasure because it's not a show I willingly admit to watching. Maybe because it's a kid's show, maybe because it has bad special effects, maybe because it's Disney, maybe because it's not as good as Sabrina the Teenage Witch...I really don't know.

But there you have it. The cat is out of the bag.

My membership with them just ended 'cause I can't afford them anymore.

Before you agree to anything, make sure you check out their facilities as not all Anytime Fitness places are created equal.

I just called them and they don't have staff hours on Sunday, so that's no help. Would you mind telling me how much you paid just to see if it's comparable?

The place I really like here is Core Fitness, but it's $50/month. Definitely too much. I miss my YMCA in Michigan. :(

Thanks. To be honest I don't think having a gym is really a luxury I can afford right now, at least not without giving up something I already have (like internet on my phone, hehe). I know I should make it a priority, but gah. I'm just so poor right now!

It is, but frankly the only thing I have found in my life that keeps me exercising on a regular basis is having an air-conditioned gym with good exercise equipment. I know I should suck it up, but it's just the way I am. (Not to mention, I get worlds' better workouts with something like an elliptical that lets me work out harder than walking, but not so tiring as running. O to have one of my own!! :))
