Saved by the Bell was not the first show that introduced me to fandom and fanfiction. That honor naturally goes to Buffy as I remember spending study halls in junior high/middle school with my friend, Rachel, filling notebooks with the stories we created.
It was the first show, however, where I can distinctly recall obsessing over Mark Paul Gosselaar. I spent countless hours during my pre-adolescent/teen years cutting out his picture from such popular rags as Tiger Beat and Teen People. It was also the first show where I had the whole theme song memorized and I remember wanting so badly to be part of their gang.
ETA: I completely forgot to mention that my dad met Dustin Diamond (the guy who played Screech). Apparently, he's quite the haunted house enthusiast and he came through the one that my dad helps run every year.
Day 29 – Current TV show obsession
Day 30 – Saddest character death
