The original Star Wars trilogy is at the very top of my list and I really don't think I have to explain why. But just in case you need clarification, these films are freaking amazing!!!!! Of course, I really firmly believe that the Prequels...suck ass. I don't know what George Lucas was thinking. I really, really don't.

In terms of recent developments in science fiction films, I have to say District 9 damn near blew me away. I really enjoyed the actors' performances and was moved to speechlessness by the power of the film's message. Also, the visual effects? Were pretty damn nifty.

GASP!!!!!!!
No really, sweetie, it's a must see, and surely there are "authoritative" lists of the best sci-fi flicks. It's got to be waaaaaay up there. Do yourself a favor.

I think Nick has it so that should be easy to accomplish.

You need to see Blade Runner because it is BRILLIANT, but I recommend the original version. In my mind it is much better than any other.

Well Nick has the director's cut so that's probably what I'm going to go with even if it's not quite as good as the original.
