1. At what type of place did you grow up? (City, town, etc...?) What was it like?
I grew up in the country, fifteen minutes from the closest town. We weren't farmers, but we were surrounded by cornfields (that my dad rents out to our neighbor, Mike.) In addition to the cornfields, there are hills, trees, and walking paths. We have a pond that has played many a crucial role in family parties and after my grandmother's death, we inherited her section of Collins Lake.
Considering the distance, I didn't get to see a lot of my friends outside of school, but I did form an incredibly close bond with my cousin, Melissa, who lived in the house next door. We would frequently meet up in the woods that connected our houses and we'd play for hours among the fallen logs and small glens. I definitely credit the place I grew up for helping me get such a big imagination.
2. Which TV character would you choose to marry, and why?
Hmmm...there are so many TV characters that I have crushes on and so many I could name that I'd just want to have a one night fling (or two) with. But when it comes to marriage, I feel I need to adjust my standards a little.
That being said, I think I would pick...Marshall Erikson, from How I Met Your Mother. He's got a great sense of humor, he's a romantic, he's devoted to the woman he loves. I also like that he's nerdy and into conspiracy theories. I would totally go hunting for the Loch Ness monster with him on our honeymoon. That would be a lot of fun.
3. What's your current favorite song?
Thinking of You by Christian Kane.
4. What did you (or will you) have for lunch today?
I ate a Hormel Compleats Chicken and Dumpling microwave dinner that was suspiciously tasty. I followed it up with some of the Cashew Turtle fudge I bought while I was in Minocqua.
5. What's your favorite website for time-wasting?
Livejournal. :)

on 2010-08-18 10:00 pm (UTC)And yeah... depending on parents for rides would be no fun. :( Since my town didn't have anything except a four-aisle grocery store and I went to school in a different town, I was always depending on rides too. Suck!
