Every apocalypse deserved a good musical score. Not by instruments, but by clanging swords and breaking bones. Bloody screams and heavy grunts.

Over the centuries, Spike had seen his share of musicians in the heat of battle, each one of them a force to be reckoned with. They’d all thrilled him in one way or another, but none of them played those melodies quite like Oz did.

The wolf knew how to cater to his audience, knew when to give and when to take, knew when to bring them to their knees.

Was the most beautiful song he ever played.
