It always comes down to the ties. The silk knots as complicated as the puzzles that can’t be disentangled. It doesn’t help that booze is actively flooding your veins and darkness is clouding your vision.

Because that’s how you do it.

With the lights off, your eyes can’t acknowledge the truth. Only the flesh can do that as he humps against your thigh, nearly coming in his pants like a teenager because your clumsy fingers haven’t gotten anywhere with that damn noose around his neck.

But you don’t give up. You’ll keep trying until you’re both become boneless and undone.

Mmmmmm. I loved this. I did like the second person, because I was reading a couple of my old B/T stories and turns out I write in the second person too (sometimes without realizing it) so it was like a private little shout-out to me. :) And I liked that, even though it was about the struggle to get the tie off from Barney's neck, it still had this practiced sort of grace to it, like this is something they do all the time when they're drunk. (And I love hints that they do it all the time when they're drunk.)
