Day 1 - Discuss how you got into HIMYM and why you still love it.

I was hanging out with my friend Becca, who was in RA in my dorm. She had to go out on rounds, but told me to stick around, so I just turned on the TV and found a re-airing of "How Lily Stole Christmas." I'd known that Alyson Hannigan had made the move to a new sitcom, but I hadn't really considered watching it until then. I nearly fell out of my chair laughing and I knew that I'd need to add the show to my list.

I keep watching because I care about the characters. I love Marshall and Lily's dynamic (for the most part). I love Ted's search for his perfect wife. I love seeing the sensitive underbelly of Barney Stinson. I love Robin's fierce independence. I love that it can make me laugh and make me cry and make me want to chuck shit at the screen. Never before has a sitcom gotten to me this much.

Now for the Musicality challenge. With cee_m's assistance, I'm running a challenge/music call sort of thing. What this involves:

1. YOU pick a theme/pairing/word, etc. (ex. happy songs, songs about Spike/Willow, songs to work out to, and so on)

2. At some point in the next week or so (depending on how many people sign up to do this) I'll go through my iTunes library and select five (5) songs that I think best fit your prompt and I'll post them in a file for you to download.

Just wondering, but how do you put music into a downloadable file? I think this would be really fun challenge to do myself but I don't know how to it!

Well, you have to find the songs you want in whatever serves as your computer's media library. And then you can copy those into a folder and then you compress the folder.

In my case, I'm able to upload them because I use a file transfer protocol and my friend cee_m gave me access to post them to her site. But you can also upload it to something like Fileshare or Megaupload.

Is it still possible to get a few songs? :D If it's too late, that's completely fine! If not, I would love a few songs to add to my 'LETS KEEP AMY AWAKE' soundtrack for when I arrive back in OKC at 9pm and make my way back home! :) Or at least - songs that remind you of me! Yes I probably borrowed that last one from the one you did for angelskuuipo. *grin*
