First, we'll get this crazy little meme thing out of the way and then I shall tell you all about my weekend adventures.
How I Met Your Mother
Day 17 - A scene that made you cry.
The scene that makes me tear up without question is Marshall and Lily's break-up at the end of Season 1. More specifically, the look on Marshall's face as he sits on the stairs in the rain holding the engagement ring she left behind. So. Damn. Heartbreaking.
The Weekend
--
Friday: Nick and I headed out to Terror on Rural Street after he got done with work, stopped at Arby's for dinner, and picked up tickets from my mom (she works in the ticket booth, most weekend.) It didn't take long to get queued up and we ended up in a group of four with another couple of haunted house enthusiasts. The house itself was amazing and creepy. Personally, I think they went above and beyond what they did last year. My favorites were the classic favorite: Tunnel of Terror (a spinning tunnel that you have to cross a bridge to get through. Very disorienting!), the Hallway to Hell, Skull Valley, and Claustrophobia (aka the "Butt Tunnel" as you're surrounded on either side by these air-filled pillows and the security feed my dad looks at all night gives it the appearance of a butt). After we went through, we helped sell tickets for awhile so mom could take a break and then we headed out to my parent's house.
Saturday: We had to baby-sit my cousin Melissa's four boys (ages 6 and under), which neither Nick or I were very excited about since that wasn't exactly how we'd pictured our Saturday morning to go. We did go for a hike though and the boys played in the sand pile down by my parent's pond. Brandon, the youngest, became my buddy for awhile since he was tired and mom wasn't around. He just sat in my lap for a good 45 minutes and stared at the water. After Melissa came to get the boys, Nick and I went to see RED (Retired. Extremely Dangerous.) I really enjoyed it. It was funny, had good action scenes/explosions, and the actors really played the hell out of their characters. Saturday night, we went back to the haunted house and helped out in the back. Mostly we just got food stuff set out for the actors so they could grab and eat during their 10 minute break.
Sunday: Today, I've spent some quality time on the internet and then I carved a pumpkin!

A whole bunch of my neighbors were in the garage across the alley way and Nick and I wandered over there. The adults were watching the Packers game and the kids were making pumpkins. They had a few of those stencils out so I decided to join them and made one. It's been forever since I made a pumpkin but it was a lot of fun!
