HIMYM Episode Redux "Mosbius Designs"

Tonight’s episode was definitely acceptable on my love for HIMYM scale.

There were parts I loved a whole lot, parts that made me giggle, parts that FINALLY moved the Barney/Robin storyline in a satisfactory way, and parts that just kinda left me unsettled.

Let’s start with what I liked:

Robin. Specifically, Robin distracting Ted with Wheel of Fortune and Robin making fun of Ted for being a douche (and I swear the ramped the Ted’s douche level like 83% tonight). Oh and Robin’s attempt at breaking up with PJ was pretty darn funny.

Barney. I love NPH’s facial expressions. And how he made Marshall storm off with him. And how he confessed to Marshall his love for Robin. Very loudly. In the bar. I also liked how calm he was when the ninja showed up. Though I still want to know what exactly that ninja was trying to do. Also, loved Barney’s comments about Lily. “She’s evil!” and “Hang on to her” :)

Also, got a kick out of “I LOVE TED…sleeping with women!”

Marshall. Specifically, Marshall explaining to Barney why he always tries to sit by Lily so that Barney and Robin will have to sit by each other. AWWW!

The joke at the start. Even if we didn’t get to hear the punchline, I swear Lily’s reaction was the best ever and the close-up on NPH’s mouth…mmmmm….I can think of so many uses for those lips. Plus, the discussion of girl humor versus guy humor was truly entertaining

Oh and I totally got kinky thoughts when Barney sent his article of clothing to “PJ” to return three days later. I don’t know why but that just seems really hot.

What I didn’t like:

PJ. He irked me. He was too in love with Ted’s ass. And he wasn't a hot woman that Barney could shag *pouts*

Robin getting off on a man who controls when she pees. Just doesn’t do for it me.



Google freaking rocks. Plus, the person who posted it was watching HIMYM at the time so win!

This episode was pretty fantastic and it really reminded me of Season 1 and Season 2. The randomness of some of the jokes, the build ups..

yeah there were a few things I didn't like. But that happens.

I really love the random ninja. He's probably there to assassinate someone. XD

We actually saw quite a bit about GNB. We know they definitely don't work @ work.

And OMG! BROtp progress. <3 And this episode brought back my love of Barney and his awesome (b/c last episode wasn't as.. amazing? For barney)

This was the single best write-out of a character EVER. Of course, the close-up of Neil's lips didn't hurt. Also, I love how they can get away with these completely filthy things and just have Saget!Ted censor it.

Robin was hilarious. And PJ was annoying, but I think he was supposed to be - it shows how desperate Robin's becoming. I think that could factor into the B/R hook-up - she wants something casual from Barney, but he tells her he loves her. Or something. I don't even know. I'll wait and see what happens.

And I love Marshall again. :D Him shipping B/R almost makes up for his whiny tattle-tale-ness. (Although it does explain why he's been so hard on Robin this season - he's as frustrated with her obliviousness as we are? There should be fic.)

Anyway, there were a few things that bugged me, but overall, I really enjoyed this episode. A lot more than last week's, anyway.

(Oh, costuming department. You're not even trying to cover up the pregnancies, are you?)

Definitely loved Marshall

And the pregnancy stuff...really doesn't bug me that much. I came to terms with it pretty early. And I have a boyfriend who doesn't even notice.
