Today marked Christmas #5 for me and I got to spend it with my "other" family. My friend Angie has been a huge part of my life since 9th grade and I've been pretty much adopted into her household as another one of the kids.
We played this crazy game called "Encore" where you split into teams and then have the challenge of singing lyrics to songs based on what word you get or what category you get. For example, if the card said "Heart"... the teams would have to sing six words from a song that included that word until no one can come up with anything any more. Anyways, I found out that I'm pretty darn good at operating the jukebox in my head even if my team didn't win :(
On the presents front, I got a new fashion scarf from Mom and Mike and the Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog 2010 calendar. Lizzie (Angie's sister) gave me a copy of Slayer Slang: A Buffy The Vampire Slayer Lexicon. Dad got me a Wal-Mart gift card. And Angie got me this beautiful purse and necklace that came from her trip to Ecuador this year.
I gotta say that my favorite part about this group of people is that they can appreciate dirty jokes and they understand my nerdy, fandom quirks. And it's a good thing :)
