Ren Faire 2010

I got to go to the Ren Faire this weekend. Sadly, Nick was unable to tag along but good times were still had. I did end up leaving earlier than planned today though because it was so hot and humid and my body was just giving up on me (no matter how much water I drank or how many pickles I ate. Speaking of pickles...did you know that they're higher in carbs and electrolytes than any sports drink on the market? Thus making them good eats on a hot, sunny day.)



Please note that all armor worn in these images belongs to Dark Cloud Twizted Leather. If I could afford it, I would, but I can't so they just let me borrow it for an hour or two.


My brother Loki (pictured) convinced the Queen (aka Steph) to let me wear her armor because he wanted to pair these two pieces together.

This little dude snuck out of the petting zoo to eat the grass outside because, as you know, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.




ETA: I'll catch up with the Harry Potter meme tomorrow. I'm really not in the mood tonight.

Well, in order for me to march in Parade, I have to look as period as possible while wearing the armor (hence the chemise in the second photo.)

By the time I put on the armor in the first picture, I had gotten so hot that I just opted to lose the heavy fabrics. Anna, the lovely lady who dressed me, certainly didn't complain.
