When her legs were wrapped around his waist and her lips were whispering her dirty sins in his ear, it was easy for Spike to forget that Joyce was a mom.

It was easy to forget that she spent her mornings making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for her youngest or that she spent her evenings with her brow creased in worry as she thought about demons pummeling her oldest into pulp.

It was easy to forget that fucking on the kitchen counter greatly increased the risk of getting caught.

And that was something Buffy would never let him forget.
