1) Watched the first season of The IT Crowd today and laughed my butt off. I can definitely see how people would compare this show to The Big Bang Theory as I see a bit of Howard in Roy, a bit of Raj in Moss, and a bit of Penny in Jen. I look forward to watching the rest of the seasons.
ETA: I'm not getting involved in the IT Crowd/Big Bang Theory rivalry. If you have issues with either, this is NOT the place to air those complaints.
Thank you.
2) Nick and I rented Catfish, which is a documentary that follows the internet relationship and subsequent offline introduction between a guy and a girl who's not quite what she seems. Far as I can tell, it's 100% true. For an arbitrary grade, though, I give it a B-.
3)
I was always taught not to talk to strangers by my parents, my teachers, and various after school specials.
But then I realized that logic is a little flawed because if you think about it...your friends were strangers before you started talking to them. I'm not trying to devalue the fact that some people are creepy and manipulative and awful, but at the same time, it stands to reason that a stranger could be just a friend you haven't met yet.
So with that I say: Howdy, Potential Friend!

3): Very true. Through just the smallest conversations in the past, I've managed to meet and befriend some of the best people that I cannot live without now. And I suppose the reason I go on LJ is because I love getting to know people from all over the world better and, like you said, make potential friends.
So, howdy to you as well! I'd love to get to know you better! :)
