1) My Jonathan Coulton Radio Station has recently introduced me to the amusingly funny, Carla Ulbrich. Title of this post comes from her song: "What If Your Girlfriend Was Gone?" which has been bouncing through my head all day.
2) The Steak Teriyaki at Chi-Pan (Chinese/Japanese resturant a few blocks from my house) is the most amazing think I've ever tasted. Seriously. $6.25 for something that moist and delicious? Hello heaven!
3) The only thing we have to eat in the house right now are leftovers. I have a suspicion Nick's going to pout when I tell him I'm not going grocery shopping until the weekend. I know we'll manage though and I know he'll suck it up. :D
4) I heard from Loki last night. He's moving back to Wisconsin! WOO!

Dear Heath-bar:
I know you're on LJ and I know I could use your username or something, but I don't know if you will even read this, so I'm not sure it matters.
Anyway, you were one of my best friends in high school. You're the reason I got so into Buffy and Angel. You're also the reason I started writing fanfiction, given that we used to sit in the school cafeteria and write in our notebooks every day during study hall.
I still remember the day you rushed up to my car at about 8 in the morning (I'd just pulled into the library parking lot for work) to tell me that you had a boyfriend. I'll admit that I was stunned at first given your previous assertions that you preferred being single. But I warmed up to the idea after you told me about him. It didn't take long for him to propose to you and I remember that you got married in a courthouse in Texas. I didn't get to see it. Heck, I haven't even met the guy. But I know it must have been lovely.
Now you're living in California and LJ seems to be the only way I get updates from you anymore. I wish we could hook up again, just to chat about the old times and the new times.
I miss your face.
Signed,
Kitty
