Letter 22, Letter 23, and Slim and Sizzle
Jan. 26th, 2011 08:20 amDear Pauqette Center:
I’m willing to give you a second chance because I subscribe to the theory that the mixed messages I’ve received have just been a result of miscommunication and misunderstanding. Prove to me that the trust I’ve placed in you wasn’t in error. Show me that the connection I felt during our interviews wasn’t smoke and mirrors. Don’t give up on me yet.
-Didn't get this MS degree for nothing
Penguin:
I’ve been kissing you for seven years.
Some of those kisses have been chaste, some have been long and fueled by our passion and desire.
Some kisses have been filled with sadness from our disappointments, some have been filled with longing after being apart for a few weeks, some have been filled with joy as we celebrated a milestone in our lives.
Some kisses have tasted like cigarettes (we both quit at the same time though. WOO!). Some kisses have tasted of mint toothpaste and Listerine. Some kisses have tasted like spice and Chinese.
Our last kiss was last night. I’d just finished getting my stuff together before bedtime and you were trying to melt into the sofa. I called you “Melty McMelterson” and you chuckled. I didn’t make you move though. I just bent over and kissed you. A peck to wish you good night. It was the sort of kiss I hope to give you every night for the rest of our lives.
Love,
Your Goofus Arufus
So, last night I had my exercise class and while there, I learned some disappointing news. The amazing woman who teaches us, and who's become my friend over the last 12 weeks or so, is leaving to pursue a position as a life coach for people with obesity issues.
I'm proud of her for pursuing her dreams and stuff, but dammit...Slim and Sizzle transformed me. I don't just feel more flexible or strong. I feel more in touch with myself on an emotional and spiritual level.
There's talk that she might be able to come back for the session that starts up in April, but for now, I've got to decide what class I'm going to take next. I think I'll probably do Tai Chi since it fits in my schedule the best, but I know it won't be anywhere as special as Slim and Sizzle.

on 2011-01-27 08:24 pm (UTC)That stinks that your exercise instructor is leaving, but at least she's going to make more people's lives better. The world needs more people like her.
And I'm still crossing my fingers for you with Pauqette!
