snoggedUgh! I'm so positive that I returned a book on Tuesday, but the library's online service still indicates me having the book checked out. It's not due until August 4th so I still have some time. But I've looked everywhere, including the temp. placement from Tuesday where I finished the book. I still can't escape the feeling that it went in the drop box with the other two books I returned, but how can I prove that?
I don't know what to do and I certainly can't afford the fees that I know will follow this if I don't find it.
ETA: Went to the library. Since the book was from another library, I have to wait to see if it comes in through their system. The librarian said to try back on Monday.

on 2011-07-30 12:53 am (UTC)I also once had a library book get destroyed while in my possession, and I was poor at the time. They happily wiped out my bill in exchange for the cliff notes to The Fairie Queen and a Pony Club manual. They'll work with you.
