I forgot to mention an awesome thing.
The other day, before our power outage, the director of the WDA (i.e. my supervisor's supervisor) came down to our Portage office from Madison and presented me with a letter. The letter stated that I was the recipient of a Discretionary Merit Compensation award, which is given to recognize contribution to the mission and strategic goals of the Department as well as outstanding meritorious service.
In other words, I got a 60.5 cent raise. :)
P.S. I also got word from the Department of Safety and Professional Services last night that I only need to take my State Statute examination (and get at least an 85%) before I will be officially approved for my upgrade to Licensed Professional Counselor. I'm a little nervous about taking the test since my test-taking skills are rusty, but it is open book and I can take it while I'm at work.
Hooray for happy things.
ETA: Took the test today and passed with an 88.89% (40/45 questions.)
