3 – For each of the fandoms from day two, what were your favorite characters to write?

BtVS/AtS: Willow, Angelus, Spike, and to a lesser extent: Harmony

How I Met Your Mother: Barney, Lily

Harry Potter: Lucius Malfoy, Hermione

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Leverage, Firefly, Bones, Glee, Heroes, and Dollhouse: I really haven't written much for any of these fandoms and a majority of them got written because of drabble requests. :D

---

I'd like to offer a brief follow-up to yesterday's post because although I won't be going to see S for another few weeks yet, I thought long and hard about the role I needed to fill. I also talked about it with a number of folks so I feel pretty confident about my decision.

That decision is this:

I will be going down to visit her, her husband, and Anthony (after the wave of family members has disipated somewhat.) I will come bearing a mini-gift (most likely a fun board book) and home-made chocolate chip cookies (or a strawberry cheesecake because I know S loves those). If she hasn't been able to squeeze in a shower during one of Anthony's naps or during a time when B is home, I will volunteer to keep an eye on the little guy while she does so. I will also volunteer to run out and grab a gallon of milk or bread if it's needed.

In other news, I've learned that the working world is a bit like the dating world. Once you have employment, more people want you.

I say this because I just got a call from Renewal Unlimited (a place where I could work with families, but not get hours towards my license) and they want me to come in for an interview. I did make the decision to decline the offer, however, as I feel like I'm stirring too many pots as it is.

I had my phone interview with Catholic Charities yesterday and I feel mostly positive about the experience. It's always a little harder to tell if the interviewer is really interested in you when you can't see their face. In any event, I was told that they were going to set up face-to-face interviews next week after they narrowed their pool of 10 candidates down to ~3. I'm crossing my fingers that I land one of those.

Today, I continued with the job hunting and feel like I may have found a nibble.

First, I sent in my resume to the Pauquette Center here in Portage for a case manager position (the one that's I'm currently waiting on is out of Baraboo). They aren't currently hiring to the best of my knowledge, but I figured it couldn't hurt to try them.

Second, I called a smaller agency in town called Compass Counseling. They opened last year (right around June/July) and I'd initially steered clear of them in my job hunt because their website made it clear that there were only two people on the staff.

I'm glad I called today though. The woman I spoke with seemed genuinely interested in the idea of bringing me on, indicated that I should email her my resume, and said she'd call me next week to further discuss potential opportunities. There was something about her that made me want to cross my fingers, toes, and legs in the hopes that they offer me something substantial. Plus, there would be opportunities there to get my marriage and family license, which is so totally my dream.
