I went to a Zumbathon last night for the Pink Ribbon Angels, a charity that provides breast cancer patients in the local area with out-of-pocket funding they need to cover medical expenses. The event raised over $900 on tickets and raffle prizes alone and we had a great time sweating, shimmying, and partying on for a cause. I also won a raffle prize and it was awesome. It has a bottle of homemade blueberry wine, two pink-and-white painted wine glasses, a $10 gift certificate from the Chamber of Commerce to use at any local business, and a gift card for a free wine flight at the wine bar. :)

Today, I woke up and caught up on some TV. I watched Glee, Masterchef Junior, and Parks and Recreation. For the most part, Glee made me cry, but it didn't measure up to the powerhouse of emotion that I still feel whenever I watch "The Body" (BtVS). As for Masterchef Junior, I was super excited that Sara is still around. She's just the cutest thing and she's only 9!

Then, I went to an art class at the wine bar downtown. It's been at least 15 years since I've tried to paint anything, but when I saw that Paint 205 was offering a zombie photo, I knew I couldn't pass it up. I was glad that the instructor had actually drawn out the outline and we just had to worry about the painting part. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out actually.

I also got to enjoy some wine with my art. They had a raspberry wine from Fawn Creek that was lovely and since they only had one bottle left, I got the first glass for $4.00 and the second glass (and last drop) was on the house. :)

After my class, Nick and I went on a date. We decided to go to Murph's North Shore, which is a supper club that's only open when the golf course is (May-October.) I had a house salad, bacon-wrapped meatloaf, loaded mashed potatoes, and pretzel bread. It was positively heavenly!

Glee was good but the emotion for me anyway, came mostly from the fact that he was actually gone, not because the episode was so incredibly well written and acted like it was with The Body. That said, I was really glad they mostly sidelined the new cast and focused on the older cast for this, because it should've been about the cast who worked with him for 3 years not the ones that worked with him for part of a season.

And totally agree about Sara, I love her. And Jack. They are amazing for their age (not sure I was even allowed to use those knives at that age let alone cook anywhere near what they're doing).

And now I need to go make the big bully cat move so the dog can get in the kitchen to get a drink of water....

I would say I'd agree. The emotion of Glee came from the fact that Cory was gone. Rachel, Kurt, Burt, and Carole really stole the show for me. Puck was kind of a big idiot and I just wanted to punch him.

Sara and Jack are so fabulous. I like Alexander too, and admit that he's talented, but I wouldn't mind seeing him slip up a little bit.

Good luck making the bully cat move!

You're a Sara fan too? I LOVE HER! She is so awesome! I love how worked up she gets - she is so into competition!

Very cool painting, btw! Bravissima!

I think Puck dealt with it the way he deals with everything though...I did feel like Kurt could've given him something of Finn's though. Not the Jacket. But seriously, in that whole bedroom there wasn't a single thing of Finn's they could manage spare for his best friend?

I like Alexander, but I think I root more for the other two because they're so young. The older they are the easier it is for them, they're still amazing for their age, but at 9 and 10 most kids are barely learning to a grilled cheese for themselves and these kids are making things that look like it came out of a restaurant.

Of course! She was so funny when she was cheering on Gavin during the whipped cream challenge this week. It was cute.

Thanks!

She's just fabulous and I am rooting for her all the way. Jack's my other favorite. Boy did I feel badly for Roen this week though, he seemed crushed to be eliminated.

Congrats on winning the raffle prize.

Glee had me crying from the opening notes of "Seasons of Love". But it was mostly because you could tell the actors weren't faking those tears.

I dig the painting.

Yay for date night!

I agree. There were other things that Kurt could have potentially shared with Puck and Santana and Will besides the jacket.

I felt bad for Roen too, but I was so excited to see Jack and Sara be safe.

Thanks!

I know! The emotion was definitely there, especially with the cast members who truly knew Cory Monteith.

Date night rocks.
