Falling for You

Fall/Autumn definitely ranks as my favorite season of the year, even though it leads into my least favorite season of the year (i.e. winter.) I love the way the leaves change colors. I love the smell of pumpkin and squash. I love Halloween - the costumes, the haunted houses, the mysteries. I love Thanksgiving - because, well, the food rocks and so does the family. Finally, I love curling up with a book on the couch. I wrap myself up in a soft, fuzzy blanket and enjoy a cup of warm tea with honey or cocoa. It's delightful.
I am one of those "pumpkin spice" girls. My favorite is probably the Pumpkin Spice Chai at the Percolator Coffee house followed by the Salted Caramel Pumpkin concrete mixer at Culver's.

on 2015-10-09 02:57 pm (UTC)Pumpkin is the best flavour in all the land and this is the season I get to cook with it. Soups and cakes and pies and muffins and cookies and pilafs and lasagnes...
But you're wrong about one thing. Winter is actually the best season, not the worst :)

on 2015-10-10 12:19 am (UTC)I really miss fall foliage. Autumn is my favorite season too, but it's not really an observable season where I live, unfortunately.
