ACK! I can't believe I really haven't done this yet! And considering how much I loved premiere Monday, I'm quite surprised I haven't squeed myself to death.
This episode made me squee so hard because finally, after four seasons, the couple I dreamed about finally found a way to make it work and the writers kept them in character. I loved the constant sex and the handholding and the lying and the moment where they pretty much stopped lying ("She's a woman who can handle her scotch"). I still think that Barney might be more invested in this than Robin is but that's probably because Season 4 spent so much time taking us through Barney's feelings and not Robin's.
I also loved Professor/Indiana Ted. The dreams. The Proff thing (although...it kinda goes against Ted being the corrector. But I'm sure in his state of nerves, he wasn't really thinking about that.) But Ted in a fedora...with a whip...OMG! (I think I need to get a whip guy ;))
And Lily, despite her slips into shrewness, amused me with her massive shipper love :) And by the way...I get stripper! Not!Lily next week. HELL TO THE YEAH!
The Big Bang Theory is one of those shows that consistently entertains me and the premiere was no exception.
Sheldon remains my favorite character and I thought it was so sweet when Penny left Leonard in the lurch to offer comfort by singing "Soft Kitty." It was also great to see the return of Sheldon's mom. She's a hoot and a half :)
I feel a bit on the fence about Leonard/Penny development. I mean, I can't really see her really dating anyone else, seeing as Raj can only talk to her when he's drunk (and he's a bit of an obnoxious drunk), Howard's too much of a perv, and Sheldon's pretty much incapable of understanding how intimate relationships work. Either way, I hope they find a way to make Leonard and Penny work, considering how first season ended and second season premiered (when Penny lost interest in dating him after dinner).
Beckett is quite the HBIC :) I loved her outfit change and I thought she rocked the Moscowite angle. Of course, Nathan Fillion never stops being wonderful and Castle's kid is just the cutest, most insightful girl ever :)
I'm pretty sure this is my favorite episode since the premiere. It felt like a consistent story and it gave development to the minor characters in addition to offering us great songs (which have been great in all the eps) and great one-liners.
Kurt doing the "Single Ladies" routine at the beginning made me laugh and I thought it was great to have him not only try out for the football team, but be incredibly talented as a kicker. I also loved the moments with his father and I teared up a little at the end when Kurt came out to Dad and Dad said he's known for a long time.
Terri's sister is quite the nut job and I'd really prefer Terri to just come clean so I can get me a little Will/Emma the Guidance Counselor action :) I also want to see Rachel get a little slice of humble pie.
And Sue Slyvester is crazy funny in the worst possible way.
And one more brief thought from this dutiful thinker: I can't wait for the performance rounds to start for So You Think You Can Dance. I mean, the auditions are entertaining enough but I watch the show for the dance routines and the talent, not for the people who really can't dance at all.
