Mr. Bottoms: Is that blood on your zombie?
Timmy Robinson: It was a nose bleed.
Mr. Bottoms: That's not a fresh zombie, only fresh zombies bleed, son.
Timmy Robinson: I meant my nose.
Mr. Bottoms: How did blood from your nose get onto your zombie?
Timmy Robinson: I wiped it there.

For the most part, I had a good weekend so as you click on the cut, I'd like to point out that I'm gonna talk about all the nice stuff first and the fandom rant comes at the end.

& It was a Nick weekend, which means I spent three wonderful days snuggled in the arms of my favorite boy, getting hugs whenever I wanted, getting kisses whenever I wanted, etc. You know, all the sappy stuff :) (Though he swears I leak enough sap for the both of us.) *g* It was really great because he made me dinner on Friday night and took us out for Pumpkin Spice malts from Culver's on Saturday night. Mmmm...

& Friday night, we watched the remainder of Flight of the Conchords, Season 2 It was really, really funny and I'm glad that it got nominated at the Emmys. I can safely say that any awards they pick up will be richly deserved.

& On Saturday, we watched Good Dick, which is an indie picture whose basic plot structure is: Girl walks into video store. Girl rents porn. Boy is intrigued. Boy follows girl. Boy continually tries to get girl to date him. Girl has weird issues. Issues get solved...mostly. I would definitely say that of the three films we watched on Sat. this one was my second favorite so it gets Worth The Rental approval.

& The second film we watched was Nick's answer to my need for something "funny" (a very loose definition of it...) called Alice in Wonderland, An X-Rated Musical Fantasy. The film was from 1976 and Nick got his hands on it because he was trying to find movies based around his most favorite book ever. So yeah...there was porn, and weird songs, and some stuff that really just did nothing for me AT ALL. But overall, in the most bizarrely strange way possible, I'm glad we watched it.

& The third film we watched was Fido. It's a zombie comedy set during the 1950's and basically parodies Leave It To Beaver and Lassie. I nearly died laughing. Plus, Carrie Anne-Moss (of Matrix fame) played the housewife character to total perfection.

& We finished off Saturday night with the last three episodes of the short-lived Mike Judge comedy, The Goode Family

& On Sunday, we watched the first episode of the TNT original show, Leverage. Christian Kane was a total hottie as always and it's definitely a show I feel I could get invested in once I find more episodes online.

& We also watched Terminator 2 because its a total classic and Nick thought it would be good to watch that one before he tried to start me on the television series.

& And now for the drama part: I belong to this Harry Potter website that's basically set up like Hogwarts school. I've been there three years and in that time, I've held positions of Head Girl, Slytherin Prefect, and DA Leader. Over the last year or so, some drama has been stirred up (and its mostly been the house of Ravenclaw against everyone else). Anyways, I tried to reach out my hand as a friend to these folks and more often than not, I get shut out for reasons they don't care to tell me. Today, I actually got an email from one of them telling me that I was basically an oblivious idiot who needs to work harder if I think I'm gonna earn their respect. It was also pointed out that none of the Ravenclaws are seeking to make friends anyways. Ugh...I just feel so frustrated with the site right now. As I told Nick, there are fandoms out there that are for more deserving of my attention and I don't have to worry about my HIMYM friends and BTVS friends stabbing me in the back or saying shit about me because I'm not the "leader" they expect me to be.

/rant.

Hope you all had a good weekend and that you had very little snags!

You certainly watched a lot of things this weekend.

Leverage is awesome. One of my favorite shows on TV. Plus, I just love CK.

Sorry you're stuck dealing with fandom squables.

You certainly watched a lot of things this weekend.

We definitely had one of those laid-back media frenzy weekends. It was quite nice :)

I definitely want to watch more Leverage. And not just because CK is a total hottie.

*sigh*

I think what I just need to do is focus on the Slytherin house that I'm a part of and say screw it to the people who wish to be mean. Plus, I've been talking to one of the newer members who got sorted into Ravenclaw and she's pretty damn awesome so..I'll see if I can make it work while staying on the drama outskirts.

Aw, sounds like a lovely weekend! Also, I'm so excited for it to eventually cool off so I feel autumny enough for everything to be made with pumpkin. I watched a bunch of movies this weekend, too, it's so nice and relaxing.

My brother's been trying to talk me into Terminator 2 forever, and it's been replaying on Bravo a lot...maybe I should attempt it sometime.

Also, sorry about that website. I was just talking today about how horrible people can be under the anonymity of the internet. It's so unfair and makes no sense. You're giving your time to something that matters to you; what gives them the right to be high-school bitchy? (oops, sorry for that rant) Good luck with dealing with everything.

(HIMYM fandomers are so much cooler)

Mmmm...pumpkin is wicked amazing.

And you should definitely watched T-2. It's so worth it!

As for your rant, no worries. I've noticed that too.

(Go HIMYM!)

I got involved in the HP community... wow. Ten years ago. I soon realized that it wasn't something I wanted to be a part of, and I shut myself off from any fandom part of the internet until a few years ago, when I discovered the awesomely supportive community that is the Superman, and especially Lois & Clark (FoLC - they've been around since 1993 I guess?) community. I was then told by a RL friend that the best stuff is really found on LJ, and when I discovered HIMYM, I was so glad to find super awesome people there too :)

Happy to hear the rest of your weekend was good!!

I adore Leverage so much. I really hope you like it, too. Chris is too hot for words. His facial expressions are aces.

Sounds like a very eclectic movie watching weekend.

I'm sorry about the drama with HP. It's things like that that make me glad I just stay in my little corner and hardly interact with fandom anymore.

It was a great movie watching weekend :)

Staying in corners are good. I can support that approach for sure

Ugh, FANDOM DRAMA! SO LAME! I'm glad the people at HIMYM are pretty low-key. Sucks that they were bitches to you, though. *hugs*

And sounds like you had a really awesome weekend! :) Yay.

I've got the friends I know and the friends I don't. These things happen.

And yep, weekend was totally awesometown.

Why am I not surprised about the stupidity of the Harry Potter people, honey? Sounds like the number 1 problem with any fandom to me.

They're jealous of you.

Simple as that.

Ugh, the HP thing sounds like teh suck. I like some things about big fandoms, but drama is not one of them.

The movies sound cool, though. I've heard of Fido - isn't Billy Connoley in it?

Yup! Billy Connolly plays Fido the awesome Zombie actually :)

It's definitely a movie to check out!
