I feel like such a bargain shopper today 'cause I managed to pick up a copy of True Blood Season One for $17.99 at Target and saved myself nearly $35.00.

It's a show I haven't seen yet, but all the folks who know me seem to think it's a show made just for me. I'll let you know if they're right.

It does seem to be right up your alley though, from what I've heard.

I like it a lot... it's very different from buffy, but i find the characters very appealing... it took me a few eps to get past the unfamiliar culture (deep south, cajun type culture) but once I did, and studied up a little on it, i was impressed with how authentic they're keeping to the area in which the story is set :)

I tried True Blood when it first came out and couldn't get into it. Bill seemed like the most boring vampire ever. But that's just me. My guy friends thought it was great, which really surprised me. Let me know what you think of it - if it's one of those shows that gets better as it goes maybe I'll give it another shot.

Bill is kinda boring, but you know, Angel wasn't a ball of excitement either. Though I do need to say that David B. is way hotter than Stephen Moyer so Angel's going to win that round anyways.

But overall, I've been enjoying it now. I'd say it picks up as the season progresses.

Not only is Angel hotter, but Angelus - for me it was always about Angelus. SO much more interesting than Angel.

One of these days I will have to give it another try. I've finally finished all of Doctor Who, which was a task and a half. Time to work my way through another series, I guess.

True Blood....well, I can't decide if I really do like it, or if I'm just watching it because I like vampires. I've read the books it's based on, and so I'm a little disappointed.

It probably is right up your ally though. And ASkars is awesome. Bill is stupid, however, TV!Bill is a vast improvement over Book!Bill.

I've read the first few Sookie books and I enjoyed them. They aren't kidding though when the show says its a loose translation of the books though.

I definitely love Eric though. He wins at unlife.
