Hmmm...I could probably name a few. I tend to really hate songs that become so overplayed that anything I might have liked the first time gets stripped away.

But...for the sake of this meme, let's go with my top two: "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt and "Hey There Delilah" by the Plain White T's.

I'm pretty sure no amount of money would keep me from stabbing my eyes out if I had to listen to either one of those on replay for 24 hours.

The song I hate more than anything is Brandy by Looking Glass. The vocalist makes me think Thomas Edison was a jerk for inventing the phonograph...MY EARS!!!! And those obnoxious lyrics!!!!

Don't take my word for it, go listen for yourself.

OOH!!! I know what song you're talking about now.

I wasn't sure from the title. But you're right. It's definitely a terribly written song.

Stabbing your eyes out? How would that prevent you from ever hearing those two songs again?

;)

I agree with you about hating songs that are overplayed. I have to say, though, I'm more that way with Lady Gaga songs and the like. I like that soft rock indie emo crap. ;) But earworms with a thumping bass line? Kill me now.

Oh, Lady Gaga...she's definitely an earworm.

I think I'd have to go with that...is it Nancy Sinatra? 'He Shot Me Down' I think it's a God awful song. I remember it being re-released about 5 years ago, and I HATED it, I felt like plugging my ears with hot wax every time it came on the radio at work. To this day, my friends still text me every time they hear, 'cause the only thing they remember about it is how much I dispised it, lol.

lol.

That's a song I'll listen to occasionally, but I'm sure I'd hate it if I heard it too many times in a row.

Yeah it would have been re-released when the two Kill Bill films came out as it was featured heavily within the soundtrack.

Sadly, I have no snappy response.

But yeah.

For me it's...

Celine Dion and "My Heart Will Go On"

and Whitney Houston and "I Will Always Love You."

.....both are guaranteed to make me run screaming from the room. And maybe, only maybe mind you, for 10 million, not a dollar less. LOL!

UGH! I totally forgot about Celine Dion. I think I tried to erase that mess from my memory.

OMG so agreed on You're Beautiful! It's ridiculous how awful that song is. I would have to say for me Free Fallin' by Tom Petty. Makes my ears want to cry.

Mine would be "Where the Streets have no name" by U2.
