Sophie Kinsella books (ex. Can You Keep A Secret? and The Undomestic Goddess) definitely fall into this category for me. They are fun, funny, and have a dash of that sweet, hopeful romance that of course, falls apart and renews itself before the book comes to an end.

I believe James Patterson and Janet Evanovich also fit the bill on this one. Patterson because his mysteries can be devoured in one sitting. And Janet because her Stephanie Plum series is so engaging and entertaining, even if it does nothing to increase mental intelligence.

And before I forget, I should also mention Chelsea Handler's My Horizontal Life: A Collection Of One Night Stands. It's pretty much one of those guilty pleasure books where it's awful and yet, still funny.

I've been meaning to pick up Chelsea Handler's books forever! I think she can really funny and I'd love to read something rather than watching her show - I'm usually with my mom and feel awkward laughing at some of the crude bits. xD

She's definitely riding the cruder edge of things with her one-night stand book.

Sometimes it's perfectly okay for a book to have no redeeming literary value.

Especially when one has graduated.

I love Laurie Notaro's Idiot Girl's Action Adventure Club. Seriously... laughed so hard that I had tears coming out of my eyes...
